Six Tower Cranes in Vail Village

This is the third of the 8.5 Market Indicators of Summit County Real Estate.

Crane_2

The number of tower cranes (the big ones used for major construction) in a market place indicates the money being spent on construction. The six cranes I refer to are just Vail Village. I am not including the cranes being employed for the massive redevelopment of Lionshead Village. What I want you to keep in mind is that Vail Village reached the point of build-out long ago. These cranes are being used at sites where other buildings have been demolished for redevelopment. At this stage, Vail real estate is strong. When we see a drastic drop in: 1.sales volume, 2.prices, and 3. new construction in Vail, these should be warning signs Summit County.
